Pandemic is a sequel to the 2010 game VIRUS by the Bob Smith. The game plays largely the same as its predecessor but the game engine has been tweaked to allow for a larger amount of enemies. The game is till played from a top down perspective and the player can move and shoot in all directions (now also diagonally). The objective for each level is to clear all viruses. What's different from the first game is that all viruses are spawned from virus generators that have to be destroyed. If not then more viruses will continuously appear. To get through the levels health packs has to be collected since health continuously decreases over time and keys has to be located to open doors. There's no need to collect ammunition though since an endless amount is available from the start. The game is three times as large as its predecessor with a total of 24 levels.
